July 19-21
The trip offered July 19-21 and will run as an extension to the R.S. Lyle long-term camp or as an individual event. Our crew can consist of 1 guide (provided by council), 1 adult and 8 youth. More adults may sign up if the youth do not fill the 8 spots.
If the Scouts want to spend the previous week at Lyle, July 12-18(scheduled camp), it will only cost them an additional $100! For $478, the Scout gets two fun filled adventurous weeks!
There will be a meeting with all scouts and parents interested in participating in this event on Tue. March 3rd at 7:30 p.m. I will try to have more information on the trek as well as possible additional fund raising opportunities to offset the price.
We are going to need confirmation and $100.00 deposit paid for each participant by March 12, 2009. The rest (roughly 278.00) will be due May 1, 2009, which means the troop will need $900.00 deposit and $2,502.00 balance due. I will try to find out how this will affect the scouts that have already paid for Lyle.
The trek is staffed with a guide, and the Southeast Wisconsin Council BSA makes all arrangements. There are several websites that provide a great amount of information on Isle Royle National Park. Please take some time to review them before the meeting.
If interested scouts or parents will not be able to attend the meeting and need further information, please feel free to call Mike Kruesel at 262-818-4129. This should be great high adventure opportunity don’t miss out!
